Our Online Assessment Reporting System, or “OARS,” allows teachers and parents to assess student work precisely and make comparisons with state requirements and the work of others at the same educational level.
Student progress is tracked by comparing individual test scores with state requirements, and problem areas or areas of improvement are identified and assessed quickly and precisely on the web. Skills yet to be mastered can be identified, along with areas of success or outstanding accomplishment. Student test results can be compared with the results of other students in the same classroom. The system makes it easy to track progress and prepare students for state required standards-based testing.
OARS is part of the YES Charter Academy’s program to individualize education, responding to each child’s problems and successes. The system even allows teachers to customize tests specifically to a student’s individual needs.
