After School Aide – The After School Aide supports the After School Coordinator in providing a safe, structured, and engaging after school program for students ranging in all grades. Under the direction of the After School Coordinator, this position assists with student supervision, homework support, recreational activities, behavior management, snack distribution, and daily program operations while fostering a positive, inclusive, and respectful environment that promotes student growth, safety, and well-being. The After School Aide encourages student engagement, independence, and success while maintaining confidentiality and supporting the mission, policies, and educational objectives of YES Charter Academy.

Special Education Director – The Director of Special Education provides leadership, oversight, and compliance support for the school’s Special Education program. Working collaboratively with administration, teachers, related service providers, families, SELPA, and community partners, the Director ensures students with disabilities receive high-quality services that meet both federal and California special education requirements.
This position combines instructional leadership with program development, compliance oversight, and staff support. The Director serves as a collaborative resource for educators while helping build systems that promote student success, continuous improvement, and legal compliance.

Education Specialist, SPED – The Education Specialist provides Specialized Academic Instruction (SAI), case management, and individualized educational services for students with disabilities. Working collaboratively with general education teachers, administrators, related service providers, and families, this position ensures students receive high-quality instruction and support in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), California Education Code, and California Department of Education (CDE) regulations.
This position combines direct instruction with case management, progress monitoring, compliance responsibilities, and collaborative consultation to support student achievement in inclusive learning environments. The Education Specialist serves as a key member of the educational team, helping students achieve meaningful academic, behavioral, and functional growth while maintaining compliance with all special education requirements.

Elementary 6th grade School Teacher
The Elementary Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and academically rigorous classroom environment that fosters critical thinking, curiosity, and a strong foundation of knowledge. Teachers at YES Charter Academy lead self-contained, often combination-grade classrooms and teach multiple subject areas through integrated, project-based and hands-on learning approaches. As a core member of our instructional team, the teacher collaborates closely with colleagues, support staff, and families to support student growth and uphold the mission and values of the school. This role requires adaptability, creativity, and a deep commitment to student success, both academically and socially. Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree • Valid California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential (Intern, Preliminary, or Clear) • Commitment to working in a rural, environmental science-focused school setting • Strong classroom management skills and ability to adapt to a dynamic environment Preferred Qualifications: • Experience teaching in combination-grade classrooms • Background or interest in environmental science, outdoor education, or project-based learning • Experience with differentiated instruction and diverse student populations General Qualifications: • Strong alignment with the mission, vision, and values of YES Charter Academy • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively Employment Requirements: • Clear TB test • DOJ and FBI fingerprint clearance • Verification of eligibility to work in the United States Please see the attached YES Elementary Teacher Job Description for a full list of duties, responsibilities, and qualifications.
